A Mexican staple with Italian flare

It turns out the Paloma, not the Margarita, is Mexico's most beloved cocktail. I wasn't a believer until I had one, now there's no going back.

The combination of fresh grapefruit juice, lime juice, simple, tequila and club soda is downright amazing. I like to add a half ounce of mezcal for a smoky layer as well.  So how do you make this better? Add some Italian amaro, tea and champagne of course.

Holiday Paloma

  • 1.25 oz. Blanco Tequila
  • .5 oz. Mezcal
  • 3 oz. The Owl's Brew Grapefruit Collins
  • .25 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
  • .5 oz. Aperol

Instructions:

Shake with ice, pour into Collins glass and top with champagne. Garnish with a grapefruit peel.
